It was very much a labor of love and a passion for my wife and I, however throughout our time at Dreamstate I began to discover that my skills in Photoshop couldn’t find a direct home with the images that I was paid to capture. We began our journey with a brick-and-mortar portrait studio in Iowa called Dreamstate Photography and we specialized in weddings, high-school senior portraits and other work that crossed our doorstep. As I followed that path, I soon discovered that I could bring a multitude of stories to life in a way that would not be possible with my original Hollywood career. However, I soon discovered photography and the powerful allure to capturing a single moment in time that will last an eternity. Whether performing on stage as an actor, directing my own work or taking the helm of stories that shaped my youth (like Star Wars, Star Trek, The Transformers and so forth) I wanted to live that dream.

I have a background in theatre and my original intent to bring the visions of my imagination to life was through film and television. I have been chasing that reality ever since. I was convinced that if I could just believe, hard enough, I would take flight – like Superman. When I was a kid I would pin a red bath towel around my neck and jump off the fence.
